BACKSTAGE TOURS
Discover how the magic of opera is created! San Diego Opera Docents and Staff guide you backstage at the Civic Theatre where you will see the pre-performance bustle first-hand. You’ll see the amazing scenery and costumes, and observe the highly skilled backstage crew who work to bring you an opera production. Tours begin next to the Artists’ Entrance of the Civic Theatre at 12:30 p.m. before the Sunday matinee performance of each production.
Reservations Are Required
You must reserve your tour no later than 48 hours in advance of the date you desire. Please call Patron Services at (619) 533-7000 to schedule your tour. You do not have to be a ticket-holder for that day's performance to take a tour. We apologize, but we can only accommodate groups up to a maximum of twenty persons.
