San Diego Opera Stars in the Salon (formerly Artists’ Roundtables )are a thrilling experience for anyone who loves opera. We welcome members of our distinguished cast for a look at the music, characters and behind-the-scenes work which is so important to each of our four productions. The Civic Theatre’s beautiful Beverly Sills Salon acts as the setting for these enjoyable discussions where audience members have a chance to ask their own questions of the leading singers, conductors and directors first hand! All sessions are open to the public and free of charge.

In order to help you better appreciate our operas, the Education and Outreach Department has developed a series of introductory podcasts hosted by Nicolas Reveles. These 15 to 20 minute ‘conversations’ can be enjoyed by opera fans as well as those who are new to the art form. Informal yet informative, this is a great way to prepare to come see the operas during our season.
