Gregory Reinhart

San Diego Opera debut. American bass Gregory Reinhart enjoys a long association with Opéra National de Paris, where he has appeared in over 200 roles including the first soldier and the first Jew in Salome, Riedinger in Mathis der Maler, Badger in The Cunning Little Vixen, Wagner in Faust, Marcel in Les Huguenots, Narbal in Les Troyens and Der Einarmige in Die Frau ohne Schatten, among others. Other notable roles include Hunding in Die Walküre and Hagen Götterdämmerung at Theatro Municipal in Sao Paulo, Sarastro in The Magic Flute at The Metropolitan Opera and Pittsburgh Opera, Oroveso in Norma, the Commendatore in Don Giovanni at Santa Fe Festival, Biterolf in Tannhäuser at San Francisco Opera, Friar Laurence in Romeo and Juliet in Turin, Arkel in Pelleas et Melisande in Paris and Amsterdam, and Le Gouverneur in Le Comte Ory at the Pesaro Rossini Festival, La Fenice, Venice, Lyon and the Aix-en-Provence Festival and Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte, Mustafà in L'Italiana in Algeri and Douglas in La donna del lago in Nice, and Alidoro in La Cenerentola and Celio in A Love for Three Oranges in Strasbourg. Upcoming is the role of Don Quichotte in 2014 at the Amazonas Opera Festival.
