Join us for a very special evening with San Diego Opera’s General and Artistic Director, Ian Campbell and acclaimed composer of Moby-Dick, Jake Heggie.  Jake’s newest opera, Moby-Dick, receives its West Coast premiere as part of San Diego Opera’s 2012 season and the night’s discussion will include the state of modern opera in America, supplemented with images and excerpts from the opera with Jake on piano.  UCSD-TV will film their conversation for an upcoming broadcast.

Directions to the Neurosciences Institute:

• From Interstate 5, exit Genesee Avenue and go west for about 0.08 mile to the second stoplight (not counting any at the I-5 exit)
• Turn right (north) onto John Jay Hopkins Drive
• Turn left at the second opportunity (about 0.01 mile) in to the Institute's driveway. The first opportunity to turn left is into a gated parking lot, but the gate will be raised and the parking lot open for our event. Parking is free.
