Opera is the most labor intensive art form, employing 200 to 300 people for each production, which makes it costly to produce. Revenue from ticket sales covers less than half of these costs. The remaining expenses – of presenting the world’s finest singers, as well as a superb chorus of local singers, in top-quality productions are covered by generous, tax-deductible donations from opera fans like you.
