    Finally you need to enter the first and last names and email addresses of your guests in the fields to the right. Here’s how.

    Option 1: Type in your guests’ names and email addresses manually

    Option 2: You can import your contacts directly from Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail

    Option 3: Outlook, Entourage or Mac Mail users, import your contacts into an excel spreadsheet or CSV file then upload using this link (instructions below)

How to export your contacts from

Microsoft Outlook

  1. In Outlook, Select File. From the drop-down menu select Import and Export
  2. Highlight Export to a File
  3. Click Next
  4. Highlight Comma Separated Values (Windows)
  5. Click Next
  6. Highlight the Contacts folder
  7. Click Next
  8. Click Browse
  9. Give your file a name (i.e. Outlook Contacts). Be sure to save it as a CSV file in a place where you can easily find it
  10. Open the Excel File: Remove all fields except all Name & email address fields. Remove any contacts that you do not want to receive the invitation.
  11. Click Next
  12. Click Finish

The export will take place and your CSV file containing all your Outlook contacts will be saved

Return to www.sdopera.com/participaterequest , section 5, Guest List.

  1. Click on the Outlook/Entourage/MacMail link below
  2. Using the Browse button, select your recently saved CSV file
  3. Click Submit
  4. All your Outlook Contacts will populate the Guest List fields. Select only those contacts you wish to invite

How to export your contacts from

Entourage

  1. In Entourage, Select File. From the drop-down menu select Export
  2. Select Contacts to a list (tab-delimited text), click next and then save (remember where you save this file and its name)
  3. Open a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet document.
  4. Go to the File drop-down menu, then choose Open
  5. The window presents an Enable menu to filter file types. Choose Text Files, select your recently saved contacts document and click Open.
  6. The Text Import Wizard appears.
    1. For step 1, choose "Delimited" for file type. Click "Next".
    2. For step 2, click the "Tab" checkbox for Delimiters. Click "Next".
    3. For step 3, Click "Finish".
  7. Save the Excel file in CSV (Windows) format. Excel will complain about incompatible features, asking you if you want to save without those features. Click Yes
  8. Remove all fields except all First Name , Last Name and Email Address fields. Remove any contacts that you do not want to receive the invitation. Click Save

Return to www.sdopera.com/participaterequest , section 5, Guest List.

  1. Click on the Outlook/Entourage/MacMail link below
  2. Using the Browse button, select your recently saved CSV file
  3. Click Submit
  4. All your Outlook Contacts will populate the Guest List fields. Select only those contacts you wish to invite

How to export your contacts from

GMail

  1. Sign in to Gmail.
  2. Click Contacts along the side of any Gmail page.
  3. Click Export at the top right of your Contacts list.
  4. Choose whether to export all contacts or only one group.
  5. Select Excel as the format in which you'd like to export your contacts' information.
  6. Click Export.
  7. Remove all fields except all Name & email address fields. Remove any contacts that you do not want to receive the invitation.
  8. Save File.

How to export your contacts from

Yahoo Mail

  1. Sign in to Yahoo.
  2. Click Contacts along the side of any Gmail page.
  3. Click on Tools and choose Export from the drop down menu.
  4. Choose the program you want to export to and click Export Now.
  5. Choose Microsoft Excel as the program to use to open the exported file.
  6. Remove all fields except all Name & email address fields. Remove any contacts that you do not want to receive the invitation.
  7. Save File.

How to export your contacts from

Mac Mail/Apple Address Book

To export your Apple Address Book contacts into a CSV file or Excel spreadsheet you will need to download a tool. Apple doesn't include this feature automatically in its software. There are several free software programs to choose from that are apple recommended. Try downloading these below and follow the online instructions. Look for the free downloads by entering these program names into your search engine:

  2. Address Book to CSV Exporter 1.3a (and any new versions of this)

How to export your contacts from

Hotmail

  1. Sign in to Hotmail.
  2. Click on the contact list which loads the people screen.
  3. Click on the Manage menu and choose Export.
  4. This will open the Export contacts screen where you are required to fill-in the "captcha" text.
  5. Enter the confirmation text and click Export.
  6. 6. Once Hotmail has finished creating a copy of your address book, you will see the Download File dialog.
  7. Remove all fields except all First Name , Last Name and Email Address fields. Remove any contacts that you do not want to receive the invitation.
  8. Click Save. By default, the contacts file will be called “WLMContacts.csv", you can change its file name. You have saved your contacts as a CSV file to your hard-drive.
